Weekly status

Sunday was HOT and full bright sun in a clear blue sky. It was already 70 when I started out and 83F when I got home. I had intended to do 14+ but settled for 12.7.

10:08 pace felt pretty difficult, especially with 500' of hills on this run. I ran with my friend Jeff and a lot of talking helped take our minds of the heat to some extent. In such heat your HR is higher than normal and hence the efficiency is really poor. BUT it's all good practice for the Ragnar. Napa valley can be really hot in September..my last leg is right up the Silverado trail and that is a hot-box late in the day.

  1. Your pace vs heart rate is great. We are the same age and if I am at 1:30 I am running around 12:30... on a good day!

    1. Hi Kepa,

Well you really can't compare HRs very well even at the same age...everybody is different. Do you have any idea what your MaxHR is?
