I truly enjoyed reading this and following your thoughts along the race :) Yeah...pacers can be great, but sometimes, they can really mess with your brain! I've got to agree with you about the music...when I ran the Niagara Falls half a few years ago, the lead car from the marathon was coming behind us beeping and making lots of noise to get us running to move to the side and let them by...there was this one woman who was completely oblivious to the noise (listening to her music) and was just running along in the car's way until another runner went up to her and pretty much pulled her out of harms way! It was a little scary...I'm really glad this man noticed her because the car was being followed by the wheelchair racers and I can't imagine what would have happened if it had to stop suddenly!!Annehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08125640729727220332noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1109090155728755589.post-1720304558554362432013-04-10T16:30:06.761-07:002013-04-10T16:30:06.761-07:00Well done, Sir - you did fantastic! You did great and I'm happy for you. Funny the conversations we have with ourselves when we run...I love hearing your thoughts. I (ahem) ran with my iPad and have no problems with it in a race like this - it really distracted me from my coughing and wheezing and I like that. I'm sure I couldn't have run as well as I did without it.

Congratulations :)!!Jillhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10174883718651790845noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1109090155728755589.post-22039456220600726872013-04-10T09:43:13.683-07:002013-04-10T09:43:13.683-07:00Thanks Nelly,

I'm with you that people shouldn't be wearing earbuds in races, why are they even doing a race in the first place? They should stick to training runs.
